Today we had our first 5 & under open gym and it was a great success. We will be holding these open gyms for our 5 & unders the 2nd and fourth tuesday every month here are the dates for this event! March 23rd, April 13, April 27th, May 12th, May 26th, June 8th, June 22nd, July 13th, July 27th, August 10th and August 24th!!!! hope to see you there!! No membership is required. Call or email to put your name on the list 7:30 the night before. $10 per child at the door if not on the list. Tell your friends to come join!!!

03.17.2009 : summer camp
Age 5 and up.1 week camp is july6- july 10 2 week camp is 10 days july 6-july 17 2009. Gymnasts who complete the 2 week camp will have a final performance on Friday, July 17th followed by a party with coaches and families. Early registration begins May 1st for those students that register in May for the 2 week camp will recieve a 10% discount when paid in full upon registration. 03.17.2009 : Texas Hold'em Fundraiser!!
On April 3rd 8-midnight RSVP by Thursday April, 2nd. This is to raise money for PDA's Gymnastics Team to Purchase 2 new balance beams. The winner of the tournament will recieve 10% of total amount paid fro the Tournament. It cost $100.00 Buy in. Invite friends and enjoy PDA's first texas hold'em tournament!!

The PDA family needs 2 beams. We have a goal to reach of $5,000.00. What we have now is $980.00. For each level, one family with the highest donation will Win a Nintendo DS Lite!!!

Not to worry PDA will have open gym nights during summer the dates are: 6/6/2009, 7/11/2009, 8/1/2009, and 9/12/2009 7:00pm-10:00pm. Ages 3 and up!!! Hope to see you there!

03.17.2009 : gym meet 3.22.2009
PDA gymnastics meet is Sunday March 22. Warm-ups will begin at 11:30 am the meet will start at Noon. Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 will be competing all four events. Gymnasts will be working on meet experience and total score. Gymnasts who achieve 32.8 overall score 3 times will advance to the next level. PDA coaches have been working hard to get your son or daughter prepared for their fifth competition. Please make sure you plan on participating and helping your son or daughter get their full gymnastics experience. Gymnasts who have advanced levels should still participate in the competition even if they feel they are not ready. These competitions teach them to be more confident in their performances. All gymnasts will have a $20 entry for their competition payable to PDA due by Thurs. 19th. Please have your gymnasts in their leotard (no shorts) for the competition. All levels please wear team leotard. If you have not yet purchased your team leotard please pick up information and order for the next competition. Boys need white muscle t-shirt with black gym shorts. Hair must be back in a pony tail. Gymnasts will be scored on presentation, form, execution, technique, skill, and landing. Score starts at 10 and deductions in .1, .3, and .5 increments will be deducted based on gymnast’s performance. An average of 8.2 in each event will accomplish the 32.8 score. Gymnasts who receive this score will be rewarded a Gold Certificate on the awards stand. Gymnasts who do not receive this score will receive a silver Certificate on the awards stand. Gymnasts will only be working for achieving the score not competing against each other .We will run the competitions exactly how they will be run when they do go out to compete. There will be a march in, a gymnast’s introduction and awards. We will have spectator seating. $5 per adult and $3 per child 3-12yrs (not gymnasts) entrance fee.

01.21.2009 : PDA Gymnastics Competition
PDA will be having an in house gymnastics competition Sunday January 25th. $5 for adults $3 for children under 12.

01.21.2009 : Level 4/5 Aloha Fest
Congrats to PDA's Level 4 and 5 gymnasts. They competed in Hawaiis 33rd annual Aloha Fest Jan.16th. Alaina Kwan Level 5 won bars with a 9.35, Floor with a 9.55 and the all-around with a 37.2. Our Level 4 did great with Lindsey Wilcox placing 2nd on bars, beam, and floor and also 2nd in the all-around with a total score of 34.6. Analis Martin placed 4th in the all-around, Hailey Markes 7th in the AA and Ally Kwan 8th in the AA. All girls achieving their personal best scors.

PDA USA will be celebrating its 11th annual fundraiser on Saturday October 18th 2008. The event will start at 4pm and conclude at 10pm. This event is held every year to help raise money for PDA's Gymnastic and Diving programs. More information and details will be posted soon. All tickets this year will be pre-sold. The events theme this year is "PDA Around the World". All PDA students will perform in a show. Tickets will include Food, Entertainment, and Show. Call PDA for more information (562-229-1927)

03.10.08 : Gymnastics Camp!!!
Coming Soon- PDA Gymnastics camp. Mark the date July 14-July 25. PDAs camp will be for any gymnast from academy level and team level to come and build on their gymnastic skills. You can sign up for 1 or 2 weeks. The camp will start at 9am and end at 3pm. Gymnasts will be with our top coaching staff. They will learn routines build their own optional floor routine, learn diving, aerobics, and have swim time with some outings. Full details will post soon on the website with exact schedule and pricing. Gymnasts will perform everything they have learned in a show July 25th at 6pm. WE hope to see you in the camp!!!!

03.10.08 : PDA Gymnastics
PDA gymnastics team is growing. PDA has now added Team levels 2 and 4, 6. We are doing in house competitions the last Sunday in every month. Gymnast compete there routines and are awarded on a gold scale or silver scale. 32.2 or higher in the all around reaches the gold score, anything below is the silver level. Competions begin at Noon and end by 2. $5 an adult and $3 a child to come watch our next competition will be March 30th.

03.10.08 : US Junior Nationals
Congratulations to Roxanne Fitter and Dayna Christianson l both divers qualified for the US Junior Nationals which will be held the last weekend in April in Missouri. Both PDA divers competed last weekend in Portland, Oregon. Roxanne placed 6th on 1m and 3rd on 3m, Dayna placed 4th on 1m and 15th on 3m. Top 6 places qualified to the US Junior Nationals.

03.10.08 : Brynia Tsai
Congratulations to Brynia Tsai Diving at the World Cup at the Olympic Site in Bejiing. Bryna represented Chinese- Taipei at the World Cup. She dove 10m platform and placed 21. She needed to be in the top 9 countries to qualify for 2008 olympic games. Bryna is only 15 and has many years to go for making the olympic games. Bryna will now continue to train with PDA and build on her international experience.
